Hot raspberry sauce over vanilla ice cream

István király 132This ice cream sort is an interesting German variation of a delicious child friendly version of an ice cream heaven

In German it is called: Heisse himbeeren auf vanille eis

Ingredients:

12 oz. raspberries

1/3 cup sugar

1/4 cup water

vanilla ice cream

Method:

Crush the berries in a sauce pan and add sugar and water. Bring to a boil, turn down the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Press through a sieve to eliminate the seeds from your sauce. Place two scoops of ice cream in a bowl and spoon the hot sauce over it. Garnish with a whole berry and serve while still hot.

Makes 4 servings
